Port Blair, Jan 21: On the occasion of Police Week 2021, various programmes were organized by the police stations of North & Middle Andaman District. In PS Mayabunder a quiz completion was organized for the school students. Further, an awareness programme was organized by PS Billiground for the local residents to sensitize them about Drug Abuse, Traffic rules and regulations, preventive measures on COVID-19, ATM fraud and Cybercrime. Similarly, an awareness programme was also organized at GSS, Govindapur, under the jurisdiction of PS Billiground on POCSO Act. As part of the celebrations, police personnel of Rangat organised a beach cleanliness drive at Amkunj Beach wherein the police personnel cleaned the plastics/wastes littered around the beach. Such programmes will be organized in coming days also.
