Port Blair, Dec 21: Today a patient of R K Pur died at PHC R K Pur. According to details the patient had high fever previously and he also experienced breathlessness because of which he was shifted to PHC RK Pur. On doubt when COVID-19 test was conducted on the deceased, he was found COVID-19 positive. Source said that he was co-morbid and had several other serious ailments. Earlier a doctor posted at PHC R K Pur had died because of COVID-19.
It is learnt that the Health Department might increase the number of random testing of COVID-19 in Little Andaman to find if there are more such cases inside remote villages.
