Port Blair, Dec 21: Miss V. K. Mariyam Bibi, ex-Adhyaksha Zilla Parishad South Andaman met Mr. Navlendra Kumar Singh, Director Transport recently and requested him to re start the bus service from Bambooflat to Rangat. After the pandemic, residents of Ferrargunj Tehsil have to travel to Port Blair through ferry for covid test and then they are getting the bus from Mohanpura bus terminus .
“It is very difficult for the people of this area as they have to go through this cumbersome process early morning,” she said. Therefore she requested the Director to consider the demand of resuming the bus service from Bambooflat to Rangat. Further she suggested that the Covid test be done at Ferrargunj for the convenience of the passengers. The Director assured to into the matter and do the needful at the earliest.
