Port Blair, Dec 03: As part of nationwide Constitution Day Youth Club Activities, Constitution Awareness Campaign Rally by NCC in these Islands was ‘flagged off’ by Cmde AT Anandan , Material Superintendent, Material Organisation (Port Blair), ANC, in presence of the Commanding officers of No.1 (AN) Indep Inf Coy NCC & No.1(AN)Naval Unit NCC.
Cmde AT Anandan, himself an NCC ‘C’ Certificate holder, lauded the efforts of NCC Cadets, who had stepped forward to attend the Rally, despite ongoing COVID 19 Pandemic. Captain Vijay Kumar Trivedi, Commanding Officer, No.1 (AN) NU NCC informed that as per the directives of Hon’ble Prime Minister, all youth Organisations of the Country have come together on one common platform and are conducting Constitution Awareness Campaign from 17 Nov – 13 Dec 20 under common theme ‘Ekta Hamari Pehchaan’.
He also said that awareness of ‘Fundamental Duties are as important as Fundamental Rights’. ‘Although, lot of NCC Cadets volunteered to participate in Rally, but the numbers were restricted to 50, due to ongoing COVID19 pandemic situation’, He added.
NCC Cadets participated in the Rally with Zeal and enthusiasm holding self made banners related to Constitution Awareness, in addition to unit banners. The Rally was routed from NCC Units at Junglighat to Goal Ghar and Back. All COVID19 protocols were followed during the conduct of Rally.
