Port Blair, Nov 29: As part of the “Prashasan Aapke Dwaar” initiative under the aegis of the District Administration, South Andaman, revenue camp court was held by Shri Hari Kallikkat, IAS, Sub-Divisional Magistrate/Assistant Commissioner (SA) in the Community Hall, Herbertabad Gram Panchayat Collinpur. Shri Prem Singh Meena, AC(S) and other officers of the District Administration and line departments attended the camp court.
Ex-PRI members and villagers attended the camp and highlighted some of the major issues viz., water supply, repair of road from Tirur to Tusnabad Junction, cutting of dangerous tress and interruption in power supply. Further many revenue matters were taken up for consideration and appropriate instructions were passed on to the revenue field staff.
The AC (SA) interacted with the residents and assured to take up the issue with concerned line departments and to expedite the process of dangerous trees cutting on priority. While addressing the gathering he stated that the revenue field staff are fully committed to serve the general public and as such issues, if any may be brought immediately to the notice of the District Administration for its redressal at the earliest.
The AC(S) assured the gathering that a suitable mechanism shall be devised immediately to resolve issues related to pending sub-division and demarcation cases and also urged the villagers to desist from indulging in activities that violate the provisions of Excise Regulation.
The applicants, who had applied for various e-Tehsil services like, OBC Certificate, Resident Certificate, Income Certificate, Local Certificate and Senior Citizen Certificate etc., were handed over during the Camp Court. Besides this, specific instructions were also issued to the concerned revenue field functionaries in response to various petitions filed by the residents of the village regarding demarcation and other services.
The Ex-PRI members thanked the District Administration for organising such revenue camp at the grass root level and its efforts to address the core issues.
The AC(SA) directed the revenue field staff to follow up on all the matters those were placed before the Revenue Camp Court.
