Port Blair, Nov 29: The District Industries Centre, Department of Industries, A & N Administration will be organizing a number of ‘Awareness cum Motivational Programmes’ on Prime Minister Employment Generation Programme (PMEGP) and other Govt. Sponsored schemes of the departments at different places of Nancowry group of Islands tentatively from first week of December 2020 onwards. The Programmes will be organized in association with Tribal Council, Banks, NYK and other line departments.
The objectives of the Programmes are to disseminate information to the participants about the PMEGP Schemes apart from other incentive oriented Schemes of the departments including Udyam Registration. The Awareness Programmes will be followed by the first hand guidance to the entrepreneurs for completion of documentation and online procedures.
All the unemployed and needy persons of the concerned areas, interested in setting up self-employment ventures under various sectors may avail this opportunity. Needy and interested persons are requested to attend the Programmes along with essential documents. They will be guided on the procedures of online filling of PMEGP and Udyam registration procedures. The filled in hard copies of the PMEGP applications will be collected on the spot which will be forwarded online to the Banks for credit decision.
