Port Blair, Oct 09: On 7th October 2020 the team of forest mobile squad consisting of Mr. S.P. Roy Deputy Ranger, Mr. Baiju M. Nair Forester, Mr. Basant Lall, Forest Guard Mr. M.Shabbir, Forest Guard Mr. M Panchavarnam, Mr. Anup Mistry, Mr. Ranjan Halder, and Mr. Ashrafuddin, Mr. Sanjay Mondal during the course of regular patrolling inside the Reserved Forest of Shyamkund area detected one freshly cut Padauk and Chooi tree and one platform, which was dismantled on the spot and an unknown case has been registered.
The forest officials also detected & seized 10 Nos. Plastic hunting traps and handed over to the Range Officer Bakultala. The entire operation took place under the guidance of Mr. Vijay Kishen Forest Ranger and under overall direction & Supervision of Mr. Satya Prakash Singh, IFS Divisional Forest Officer, Middle Andaman Forest Division. Middle Andaman Forest Division has zero tolerance against any offence related to Wildlife or forest and other anti social activities which prevails in the Reserved Forest/Protected areas.
