Port Blair, Oct 01: A team of forest mobile squad, Middle Andaman today consisting of Mr. Basant Lall, Forest Guard Mr. M.Shabbir, Forest Guard Mr. M Panchavarnam, Mr. Anup Mistry, Mr. Ranjan Halder, and Mr. Ashrafuddin, Mazdoors while patrolling inside the Reserved Forest at Kausalyanagar, apprehended two accused named Mr. Alex Toppo and Mr. Jonies Toppo, both residents of Kausalyanagar.
The accused were caught red handed while trespassing Reserved Forest for hunting. Hunting traps and other materials used in hunting were also recovered from the accused.
Both the accused persons were arrested and materials were seized under relevant sections of Indian Forest Act 1927 & Wildlife Protection Act 1972. Further the accused were handed over to the Range Officer Bakultala along with seized materials & case related documents for further proceedings of the case.
The entire operation took place under the guidance of Mr. Vijay Kishen Forest Ranger and under overall direction & Supervision of Mr. Satya Prakash Singh, IFS Divisional Forest Officer, Middle Andaman Forest Division
