Port Blair, July 08: On the one hand the rising prices of petrol is taking a toll on the residents, on the other hand, repair in the fuel dispenser machine of the Goalghar Petrol pump is adding to the woes of consumers.
For the last nearly one month, the residents filling their petrol from the Goalghar Petrol Pump are forced to buy the Extra Premium oil, following repair in the fuel dispenser machines.
After receiving several complaints from the consumers, Andaman Sheekha contacted a senior officer of ANIIDCO to know the reason behind the delay in repairing the fuel dispenser machine, who on the condition of anonymity said that the maintenance part of the petrol pump is the responsibility of the IOCL and not ANIIDCO.
“There is a problem in the suction stroke point of the fuel dispenser machines and because the parts have to come all the way from Kolkata, it took time for the IOCL to repair the machines,” said the senior-most officer of the ANIIDCO.
However, he added that the parts for some fuel dispenser machines had already reached and machines has already been repaired by the IOCL, from today onwards normal petrol was given to two-wheelers and the three-wheelers.
“Soon the fuel dispenser machine used for filling petrol in the four-wheelers will also be repaired,” assured the senior-most officer of the ANIIDCO.
