Mayabunder, July 07: After fast internet facilities extended in the South Andaman region of Andaman and Nicobar Islands, residents of North and Middle Andaman are feeling very inferior, as till now they are struggling with the slow internet and authorities are visibly doing nothing to solve this issue.
Largely affected are the students and Business class people of the North and Middle Andaman region.
The students of the region complained that due to poor internet both in broadband and mobile services, they are unable to download their study materials and hence, they are unable to study properly.
“If the BSNL is unable to cater to us with speed internet, then the education department must pin the blame on BSNL for the poor results we will receive after the exams in coming days,” said a student of North Andaman.
Meanwhile, talking to Andaman Sheekha, a North and Middle Andaman based trader on condition of anonymity said that he is unable to place an order for the accessories that he is trading for and also he is facing difficulties in filing GST returns.
The residents of Swadesh Nagar, Sivapuram, Nimbudera are largely hit due to the slow internet and are now demanding the BSNL to update their satellite link as soon as possible to strengthen the internet in the area otherwise they have threatened to sit on a protest keeping in view the future of their children.
