Port Blair, June 08: An on duty IRBn Jawan K. Money Kandan Pillai (HC 021048) was reportedly assaulted by two men, near Haddo Sea Shore area, when the cop on duty asked them to wear mask.
As per reports, accused Shivaneshewaran and accused Naganathan, both residents of Delanipur were sitting at the sea-shore area of Haddo without wearing any mask, which was opposed by the IRBn Jawan.
As per sources, the interference of the IRBn Jawan was not liked by both the accused and hence they assaulted handled him. The accused were also under influence of alcohol, it is reported.
A case has been registered at PS Chatham at 1830 hrs yesterday and both the accused have been arrested under relevant sections, it is learned.
