Mayabunder, June 03: The Adhyaksh, North, and Middle Andaman Zilla Parishad, Mr. Dipankar Mistry has requested the Lt Governor, Andaman, and the Nicobar Islands to release the salary of the 34 Guest Lecturers serving at the Mahatma Gandhi Government College, Mayabunder for April 2020.
In a letter addressed to the Lt Governor, Mr. Mistry stated that the Andaman Nicobar Administration has also received an order from the Ministry of Home Affairs in which it is stated that all workers/ employees whether he/she is regular, contract or DRM shall be paid in full.
“It is regretted to state that altogether 34 guest lecturers of the MGGC college have not yet received their salaries for April and the same issue is not with the guest lecturers serving in other institutes of Andaman administration like Andaman Law College, Jawaharlal Nehru Rajkiya Mahavidhyalaya et cetera,” Mr. Mistry added in his letter.
