Port Blair, June 03: Charred bodies of five puppies were found recently inside Teal House, Delanipur after which a major outrage against this incident was witnessed in social media.
Following this incident a complaint was registered at PS Chatham and subsequently today an FIR was lodged in this case under section 428, 429 IPC for killing of animal.
An FSL team today visited the site and took samples for further investigation and the post mortem of the bodies will be done tomorrow, it is learnt. Police is doing further investigation.
Andaman Sheekha investigation found that there is neither any eye witness of this incident nor there are any CCTV Cameras in the area. However, an unverified report which is circulating in social media alleging other Doctors for killing these puppies and the mother dog seen struggling to save the puppies, carries no weight.
Earlier, upon the complaint to the President, PFA (Andaman Unit) by one of their associates, Mrs Zarina Nikhat met the SHO, Chatham PS and submitted a letter to file an FIR.
