Port Blair, Sept 18: The 45th Engineers’ day was celebrated in the Conference Hall of APWD, Guest House, Diglipur in a befitting manner. Engineers from all the Department & Private Engineers from Rangat to Diglipur participated in the calebration. Mr. K.M Mathai, Executive engineer, member IEI welcomed and felicitated the Chief Guest and explained about the importance of this day. The Chief Guest Dr. Dinesh Kannan IFS, DFO,Diglipur spoke about the role of Engineers in common mans life. He stressed on the importance and challenges faced by the Engineers in modern times
The theme of this year is “Appropriate climate-Responsive Technologies for inclusive growth and sustainable development” was highlighted by the speaker Er. Binoy Ranjan Sardar.
On this Occasion Drawing competition on “climate change, its impact”and Elocution competition on “Green Technology, Damage to the environment is inevitable was Organized and prizes were distributed to the winners by the chief guest winners, the programme was concluded with vote of thanks by convener IEI, Local centre, Diglipur, Er.
