Port Blair, May 19: Taking stringent action against violation of Home Quarantine Norms the Deputy Commissioner of North and Middle Andaman, Mr Awanish Kumar today imposed penalty of Rs. 5000 on a resident of Duke Nagar, Middle Andaman.
As per reports after return of a stranded family member from Port Blair, the entire family of Mr. Durga Pada Mondal was asked to remain in Home Quarantine by N & M Andaman District Administration. But when neighbors of Mr. Mondal complained that he is not following Home Quarantine norms, the DC ordered the Patwari of the region to impose the penalty.
Earlier similar penalty was imposed on a teacher of Billyground region for violating Home Quarantine orders.
