Port Blair, May 03: Andaman and Nicobar Islands which recorded total 33 COVID19 cases in past, might get the Green Zone tag soon as presently only one patient remains as active COVID19 positive case.
Among three districts of Andaman and Nicobar Islands all 33 cases were reported from South Andaman that is why except South Andaman other two districts viz Nicobar District as well as North and Middle Andaman District were declared Green Zone while South Andaman was declared Red Zone.
The Chief Secretary of Andaman and Nicobar Administration Mr. Chetan Sanghi yesterday informed public that nine COVID19 patients turned negative from positive while today he informed that another six patients have been tested negative. Earlier also seventeen other COVID19 patients turned negative from positive in different dates.
“6 more positive now negative. 1 active case. Testing 9400 per million,” twitted the Chief Secretary today.
However, he sounded caution saying that when many Islanders, struck in Mainland will return Islands, the danger may go up.
“When islanders return, the danger goes up. So, FULLEST caution. No fresh case 21 days after this +ve turns -ve ONLY can make us #AmazingAndamans,” he wrote.
