Campbell Bay, Apr 27: The local administration of Great Nicobar is introducing innovative ideas during the lockdown period to help the islanders.
Now, the APWD unit of Great Nicobar has come up with an idea of installing the Hand Sanitization Stations in different locations of Campbell Bay. The first Hand Sanitization Station is installed at Zero Point Junction of Campbell Bay bazaar.
The EE, APWD of Campbell Bay Er. Bhaskar told Andaman Sheekha that by considering the reopening of shops in Great Nicobar Island more public movement will be in bazaar area for purchasing required goods this facility has been provided where people can also maintain their hand hygiene by using this Hand Sanitization Station.
“We have designed it in such a way that it works with Foot-press mechanism so that no one will have to touch the Sanitizer and will be safe for everyone,” he said.
