Port Blair, April 12: In view of serious call by PM to help the poor and needy in view of the serious crisis due to COVID-19, Her Holiness Satguru Mata Sudiksha Maharaj took immediate action and sent a message to its all 95 Zones and 3000 plus branches across India to suspend all the Samagam, Satsang or any kind of Mass gathering and directed to help with all possible assistance such as distribution of Community Food, Relief Packets and even instructed to accommodate victims in the Satsang Bhawan as a Relief.
Immediate action taken up by Sector No. 13 of Zone No. 45, Sant Nirankari Mandal branch Port Blair to distribute relief food packets to the needy. From 5th April, 2020 onwards, the volunteers of Sant Nirankari Mandal, branch Junglighat, Port Blair undertook humanitarian responsibility to distribute raw ration food items to the needy people. In continuation of the distribution of relief packets to the needy people of South Andaman area in a second phase today on 10.04.2020, the volunteers of Sant Nirankari Mandal, branch Port Blair distributed altogether 50 relief packets on door to door basis to daily wage migrant labours/villagers and their families, containing Rice, Dal, Atta, Edible Oil, Salt & Turmeric Powder, approx. 10 Kg. each packet. The area were covered viz. Middle Point near Axis Bank with 12 pkts., Junglighat Ward No. 13 with 9 Pkts., Carbyns Cove Chowk – 2 Pkts., Garacharma School area- 4 Pkts. & Sippighat village – 23 pkts. were distributed. The Nirankari volunteers followed the instruction given by the Administration to maintain Social Distancing, proper PPE during distribution of relief.
The Sanyojak, Sant Nirankari Mandal, Branch Port Blair considered in case, the lockdown continues for long, the mission shall pay their selflessness service to the needy one, when & where needed.
