Port Blair, Feb 24: Mr. Kuldeep Rai Sharma, Member of Parliament was informed by the Heads of Tribal Council of Nancowry Gruop of Islands that there remain many discrepancies in the Aadhar Cards in name, father’s name, date of birth, and addresses etc of the residents of Nancowry, Chowra, Teressa, Katchal Islands for which they have to face lots of difficulties
Since Aadhar card is one of the most vital documents for every purpose and mandatory for availing many benefits from the Government such as old age pension, widow pension, disability and destitute allowances, scholarship and other various schemes, the Member of Parliament has requested the Director (Civil Supplies), AN Administration for arranging special camps in Nicobar District for carrying out necessary corrections and also to issue fresh Aadhar cards to the left out inhabitants if any.
