Port Blair, Feb.23: The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU), Regional Centre Port Blair has celebrated the Mother Language Day at its premises on Friday 21st February, 2020. As part of it, Dr. Nilanjan Khatua, Head of Office, Anthropological Survey of India, Andaman & Nicobar Islands delivered a special lecture on “Andaman Tribals’ Language”. He showed a detailed video of all different Tribal Groups of A & N Islands and interacted with the IGNOU staff and students. The students of MA English, BA/MA Anthropology have also participated in the function. The participation certificate was distributed along with cloth bag of IGNOU.
