Port Blair, Feb 07: A minor girl of Long Island was found hanging from a tree with a dupatta, yesterday evening. According to details two dupatta were found attached hanging from the tree. When another girl whose dupatta was also found hanging with the tree was traced, she reportedly said that both of the girls had tried to commit suicide but she survived because the knot of her dupatta opened at the last moment and she fell down.
However residents of Long Island who did not believe in this story, demanded proper inquiry in this regard and expressed protest at night infront of Long Island PHC. They also wanted to know whether there is involvement of any third person in this case. Later AC Rangat and Dy.S.P Rangat also reached the spot to conduct proper inquiry. Further details are awaited. Dy.S.P Rangat was not available for a comment in this regard.
