Port Blair, Feb 07: Source Segregation plays a pivotal role to keep any city clean and green. PBMC has started 100% source segregation across the wards including households, commercial establishments and various market places.
Junglighat Sunday market is one of the key concern areas wherein vehicles and pedestrians movement severely restricted on Sunday due to encroachment of vendors in public roads and footpaths.
PBMC streamlined the entire area by earmarking vending slots and will be regulated with the police assistance.
It is hereby request all the vendors to bring relevant Identity cards for smooth vending and if there is any violation then penalty will be imposed as per SWM Bye Laws, a release from Suneel Anchipaka, IAS, Secretary, PBMC.
