Port Blair, Dec 07: The entrepreneurs in Andaman and Nicobar Islands, who were struggling to file their income tax returns due to slow internet, will no longer face the same problem as the tax can now filed via offline mode.
During a program, held in the GST office yesterday, the officials said that, the advance GST filing methods have many options now in addition to it, its user friendly.
“The most important of this advance method is that, it will help the entrepreneurs of Andaman to file their returns in offline mode, when the internet is slow, and when the internet will be in high speed they can upload or update the GST returns,” the officials said.
During the programm, a new trial was run in the C-GST office yesterday from 9:30hrs to 19:00hrs. The advance method which includes Annexure 01 and Annexure 02 was introduced.
The aforesaid annexures would be introduced from 1st April 2020 and now C – GST office is running a free trial for the same.
The officials of the department informed that the present GST returns have more problems and therefore, the department has introduced ANX1and ANX2 for GSTR – 1 and GSTR-3B respectively.
“Now it’s been very easy to file GST returns because online matching tools are introduced which was not before,” the officials added.
Adding to this, the officials said that there are new options for filling Quarterly and Monthly returns in the criteria of below 5cr, the present returns was having only monthly returns filling.
