Port Blair, Nov 24: On 23/11/2019 a credible information was received by Incharge PS Rangat about possession of illicit Ganja. The matter was immediately conveyed to Shri R.K. Sharma, SDPO Rangat and as per the direction of SDPO Rangat, the Police team of PS Diglipur comprising of HC K.K Majhi, PCs Anil Yadav, Dilip Mondal, HG Katrina Dung Dung and PC driver Pradeep Karmakar under the command of Inspr. S. Kannan, Incharge PS Rangat swung into action and nabbed the suspect and recovered more than 1.2 Kilograms of ganja from the possession of accused who was identified as Ranjit Halder S/o Late Kalipado Halder R/o Sitapur, Rangat. A case under NDPS Act has been registered and the accused has been arrested.
