Port Blair, Aug 30: Continuing its drive against bootlegger and contraband substance Central Crime Station on 29/08/2019 after gathering intelligence regarding possessing and resale of liquor in Garacharma area, a raiding team comprising of Inspr. Mahesh Kr. Yadav, SHO, PS CCS, SI Madhab Halder constable P. K. Mondal and K. Rajendran was constituted by Dy. SP (CID) Shri Abhishek Gupta. The team raided the spot at Garacharma in the rented house of one R. Annadurai and recovered many bottles of India Made Foreign Liquor (IMFL) from his possession. All the recovered IMFL bottles were counted which turned out to be 276 in number. The bottles were seized on the spot and accused R. Annadurai S/o Late Raman R/o Garacharma was booked under relevant section of law.The entire raid wasconducted under the overall supervision of Shri Ravi Kumar Singh, IPS, SP(CID).
The PS CCS staff is working hard to eradicate the menace of bootlegging and illegal sale of illicit liquor. Vigorous effort are being made to tight the drug peddlers, so that the youth and society does not fall prey to them
