Port Blair, Aug 27: A pregnant lady was admitted in Dr. R. P. Hospital Mayabunder but seeing her condition, she was referred to G B Pant Hospital in Port Blair. Meanwhile, due to adverse weather condition today the Pawan Hans helicopter could not reach Mayabunder.
Later it was planned to send MI helicopter of IAF from Port Blair but while waiting at Helipad the lady delivered a baby inside ambulance, it is learnt.
According to reports both baby and mother are safe and healthy. Due to disruption of BSNL network further details are still awaited.
