Port Blair, Aug 23: A lot of fear and apprehension has been created by the recent passage of stricter P.A.T. regulations and the possibility of these being used or mis-used against the settlers with regard to the Jarawa Reserve.
All police personnel have been directed that before registering any case under the P.A.T. regulations, all the facts are to be placed before the Police Headquarters and the approval and consent of the Director General of Police will be mandatory before proceeding further.
