Port Blair, Aug 01: The Member of Parliament of Andaman Nicobar Islands, Mr kuldeep Rai Sharma has highlighted the issue of online recruitment system of Andaman Nicobar Island in Lok Sabha on 30 July 2019.
Highlighting this issue in Lok Sabha Mr Kuldeep Sharma said that Andaman Nicobar Islands are very remote territory where getting proper phone service and internet connectivity is very difficult.
He said that under these circumstances the Administration is implementing online recruitment system for filling up vacancies in various departments, because of which many candidates of Andaman and Nicobar Islands are unable to apply for government jobs.
He said that there are around 8000 to 10000 vacancies in various government departments in Andaman and Nicobar Administration but because of online recruitment system candidates of Mainland India are getting the benefit because they get good access to Internet.
Hence he requested the Government of India through the Parliament to direct that Andaman Administration to stop online recruitment system and implement the old system of manual recruitment for the benefit of local candidates.
