Port Blair, July 15: A person named S. Muniyandi S/o Late Sonai (70) Yrs R/o Shadipur near Amrita Hospital, died after a car hit him when he was crossing the road on foot this morning around 06.20 AM.
The incident took place near the Gandhi Statue, Port Blair. A person named Abdul Nasir S/o Late Abdul Wahab was driving the car. Immediately after the incident, the man was taken to the G. B Pant Hospital but he died during treatment at around 8.30 am in ICU. Police lodged an FIR in this regard and necessary legal action was taken.
