Port Blair, June 27: To mark the International Day against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking a drawing competition was conducted at the Conference Hall of SP (D) Nicobar office, Car Nicobar. Students from different schools used their creative impression to highlight the issues pertaining to drug abuse. At the end of the competition, prizes were distributed to the winners by the SP (D) Nicobar Shri Rajeev Kumar, IPS alongwith ASP, Car Nicobar Miss Sandhya Swamy, IPS. A seminar cum sensitization programme was also conducted for the police staff and students in which the SP (D) Nicobar brifed about the ill/side effects of the consumption of drugs and other narcotic products and how Police has a larger role to play in uprooting this menace from society.
