Port Blair, June 23: The Indira Gandhi National Open University offers a wide range of academic programmes for different target groups. The Adult Education, Distance Education, Higher Education, Educational Technology, Educational Management and Administration, Pre-Primary Education, Early Childhood Care and Education, Nutrition and Health Education, Nutrition and Child Care, Guidance, Communication & It skills, Teaching of Primary School Mathematics, Value Education, School Leadership and Management, First Aid, Disaster Management etc., are aimed at teachers/staff working in schools. To reach the aimed primary target groups, the IGNOU-Regional Centre-Port Blair is organizing a special admission camp for school teachers of Andaman & Nicobar Islands on Monday to Wednesday, 24-26 June, 2019 from 9.30 am to 6 pm. For school teachers to take admission in B.Ed through Entrance Test a live phone-in programme in Doordarshan Kendra, Port Blair will live telecast on Tuesday, 25th June 2019 at 5.30 pm. It is a part of admission guidance for school teachers.
During the camp, the Regional Centre staff will provide the complete details of the Courses & subject papers, provide / display the Study Materials, demonstrate downloaded assignments, highlight the schedule of activities (both Payment related & Academic activities) of IGNOU student etc. A special handout and previous year exam Question Papers will also be distributed to the visitors. The Regional Director Dr.S. Ganesan will give admission counseling to all the participants, in group as well as individual guidance.
