Port Blair, Jun 17: A Mass rally was organized by the Anganwadi Karamchari Sangh and BMS worker this morning at around 10:30AM from Social Welfare Office to Tiranga Park via Clock Tower.
Large number of anganwadi worker with BMS supporter demanded for pension and gratuity in accordance with government rules and to regularize their Job.
They demanded administration should provide rent amount timely and Mini Aganwadi and Big Aganwadi should get equal treatment.
They also demanded for gratuity, pension facilities and improvement of work condition. Mariyam Bibi, Zilla Parishad member, SA ZP, was also present with the Anganwadi workers.
