Port Blair, June 11: Accidents over new stretch of Andaman Trunk Road seems to be on the rise. According to reports today two accidents were reported from Chouldari area of South Andaman.
In first case, a bike rider hit a cow on Andaman Trunk Road, near IMFC trade centre, at round 3.40 PM, which resulted in his death on the spot. The bike rider has been identified as Samiran Sikdar, 48 years.
In yet another accident a car hit a bike near Lal Pahar Junction leaving the bike rider and pillion rider seriously injured. Further details are awaited.
