Port Blair, May 14: Drinking water supply in Mayabunder, N&M Andaman, especially in the areas, which are far away has been severely affected.
One among such Lataw village, water has not been supplied since last five days.
Mohammed Hashim, a social worker went to Tugapur to register a complaint in this regard but the JE and AE were not available to listen to the grievances.
When Andaman Sheekha called up the AE, he did not pick up call however, on call, the JE of the area told Andaman Sheekha that he has not received any complaint in this regard yet but he added that often for various construction works, the pipe lines get damaged, which might be the reason. He assured to look into this matter.
