Port Blair, Apr 07: A team of Police Station Aberdeen has solved a case of kidnapping and apprehended one person at Nadia District, West Bengal and recovered a minor girl.
On 11/02/2019, a complaint was received at PS Aberdeen regarding missing of a minor girl and accordingly a case of kidnapping was registered at PS Aberdeen. During course of investigation, it was revealed that one Mr. Manoj Mondal, Scuba Diver r/o Nimbutala, Rangat, working at Swaraj Dweep might have enticed the victim girl and took her to some unknown place. During investigation, information was received that the accused had travelled to Nadia District and was staying with his relatives along with the minor girl.
Thus, a team comprising of SI Dinesh Meena, PC/Nanak Singh and PC/Ashima Malick, under the direction of Inspr. Sanjay Kumar, SHO PS Aberdeen and under the overall supervision of Mr. Nishant Gupta, SDPO SA was formed and sent to West Bengal for apprehending the accused and recovering the victim girl. After extensive search, the team of PS Aberdeen succeeded in locating the suspect and victim girl at Big Nagar, Nadia District, West Bengal. The accused person namely Manoj Mondal S/o Sailender Mondal R/o Nimbutala, Rangat, confessed to his guilt and was arrested by Police and brought to Port Blair. He was produced before the Hon’ble Court, from where he was sent to judicial custody, Superintendent of Police, South Andaman District said in a press release.
