Port Blair, Aug 10: Raising the issue of high air-fare for stretcher patients, Mr. R Mohan the President of A & N State BJP unit has requested the Lt. Governor to take up the matter at the appropriate level so that stretcher patients don’t have to pay for six seats, while travelling to mainland for their treatment.
“During the regime of NDA the flight fares for evacuating the stretcher patients to Mainland was single. Subsequently, the UPA regime has changed the same and reintroduced the erstwhile system of charging 6 tickets,” Mohan said in a letter addressed to the Lt. Governor of A & N Islands.
