Port Blair, Mar 22: On 21.03.2019 acting upon a credible information regarding stock of huge quantities of IMFL at Hari Nagar village, Billiground, the Police team of PS Billiground headed by SI Ranga Raj, SHO PS Billiground conducted a couple of raids and recovered 28 Nos. 180 ml IMFL bottles from the possession of Smt. Sagarika Adhikari, W/o Mr. Uttam Mondal, (29) yrs., House Wife, R/o Hari Nagar and a total of 36 Nos. 750 ml IMFL bottles. Also, 40 Nos. 180 ml IMFL bottles were recovered from the bushes behind the shop of Mr. Uttam Mondal, S/o Mr. Tejen Mondal, Pvt. Business, 35 yrs., R/o Harinagar. After observing all codal formalities the accused persons were arrested on the spot and all the IMFL bottles were seized and cases were registered against the above persons under the relevant section of A&N Islands Excise Regulation. A total of 36 bottles of 750 ml and 68 bottles of 180ml IMFL were seized. The whole operation was supervised by Mr. R.K. Sharma, SDPO Rangat.
