Port Blair, Feb 20: Two students have been successfully traced by the police team after they allegedly reported missing from Prothrapur area.
The boys who are students of class VIII, and XI, of two different private Schools are friends and went missing after their regular tuition classes from Prothrapur area on 15/02/19 evening.
This has added more suspicion to the case as the parents of the missing boys have confirmed that any of their relatives don’t have the custody of boys.
On this immediately search operation was launched by Pahargaon Police under the leadership of SI P.Jeevan, I/c PS Pahargaon and guidance of Nishant Gupta, DySP (SA).
During the operation four police teams were deployed to comb all possible ways, newly inducted SATARK motor cycle petrol and PCR vans were alerted, CCTVs of close vicinity were analyzed.
From the CCTVs it is found that the boys stepped in a private bus leading towards Aberdeen Bazar.
Subsequently PCR Van diverted to search at Private bus stand and at 0230hrs PCR traced the boys from Private Bus Stand. Later the boys were handover to their parents.
On probing the tuition centre, it revealed that both the boys scored less marks in exam conducted at tuition centre. Subsequently the score was informed to their parents. To avoid strict actions from parents at home they left their house.
It was an intensive search for the boys as they were juveniles and missing together which made police to probe the case from all possible angels.
The missing boys don’t have mobile phones which made case more tedious and entire search was based on CCTV footage and manual search.
The boys wanted to escape scolding from their parents regarding their poor performance in exams so they thought of getting away from them by leaving home.
District Police worked superbly under the Supervision of Deepak Yadav, SP (SA) in solving the blind missing case. People of the area lauded this swift and responsive act of Police.
