Port Blair, Feb 17: A dead body a youth was found floating in the sea near Chatham police station yesterday. As per reports the youth has been identified as Mr. Steve Berry, son of Mr. Shivaji Willson, 26 years old resident of Haddo, Sea Shore area.
Sources said that the deceased had gone for fishing with his friend, Mr. Roderique during low tide but while Roderique returned Steve did not return. When Roderique came out for search, he was informed about a floating body near sea shore.
By that time people had already informed the police. Police team of PS Chatham later recovered the body.
For now it appears as if Steve Berry was trapped on the rock when high tide came and got drowned. A forensic team later reached the spot and checked the body, after which the body was sent to the hospital. Further investigations are on in this regard.
