Bartang, Feb 17: A group of Jarawa youths have reportedly reached near Vijaygrah and Flat Bay areas of Baratang Island yesterday at around 4 AM and escaped with six fishing dinghies. The six fishing dinghies belong to six different fishermen namely Sujit Choudhry, Subol Choudhary, Krishna Choudhary, Ganesh Roy, Gurubar Sardhar and Promoto Baroi.
After complaint today, the police team of PS Baratang took immediate step and with the help of AAJVS staffs recovered three fishing dinghies immediately from Jarawa areas. Efforts are on to search out rest dinghies, it is learnt.
