Port Blair , Feb 03: Last Friday a 17 years old manor girl attempted to commit suicide by jumping into the sea in Dignabad . As per the initial report it was learnt that the girl was saved by a police constable but now as the photographs of the incident has become available with Andaman Sheekha it has become clear that before the constable could reach the girl a boy of Haddo area Mr. D. Dillesshwar Roa ,S/o D. Narayan age 22 years actually jumped into the sea and saved the girl. While the selection of the spot for suicide may not be a wise idea of the girl but the attempt made by the Haddo youth Mr. D. Dillesshwar Roa and the police constable is praise worthy. This incident endorse the commitment of police personnel towards the public and at the same time it also shows that if situation demands our youths are ready to rise on such occasions.
