Port Blair, Jan 31: 94 trainee Officers of Indian Forest Service, 2017 Batch visited Indian Coast Guard Headquarters and ships on 25 & 30 Jan 19. The officers were given a presentation on the Coast Guard Region (A&N) wherein they were briefed about the various roles as well as capabilities of different surface & air assets and their importance in A&N Islands. The officers were also explained about the coordination being maintained amongst various organizations in this Region.
The IFS trainee officers expressed that the formal interaction with the Indian Coast Guard was very informative and would assist them whilst discharging their duties in future. A communiqué received from PRO Coast Guard.
