Port Blair, Dec 16: CISF Unit of VSI Airport Port Blair observed “Swachhta Pakhwada” at Port Blair city in a befitting manner from 01/12/18 to 15/12/18. In observance of the Pakhwada CISF personnel under leadership of Mr. V.B.Dewangan, Dy Comdt and subsequently Mr. Jitendra Jatoliya, Dy Comdt and Mr. Subroto Chatterjee, Inspector undertook different activities like Massive cleanliness drive off shore beach area near Marina Park on 1st Dec, Swachhta Shapath (Pledge) taken on 3rd December, Massive Cleanliness drive around Vivekanand Municipal School near Ranchi Basti, Kendriya Sadan and Water Treatment Plant area near Lamba line and Diary Farm area, March Past in School lane area to create awareness about Swachhta among local citizens, Drive against use of plastic in airport cityside area to make tourists and passengers aware and also an debate among personnel on the topic “Role of Cleanliness towards progress of the Nation”.
