Port Blair, Dec 02: The steep Brichgunj road seems to be earning bad name because of continuous accidents on the road stretch. On Saturday a cargo truck skidded off the road and got struck over a roadside drain of Brichgunj road, opposite to the District Jail. Earlier two accidents have been reported at the same place in recent months.
According to details, the truck was coming downhill and heading towards Brichgunj Chowk, when the accident occurred. The driver reportedly saw cattle on road and immediately applied brake due to which truck skidded and went off the road. The accident was reported at around 6.00 PM. Luckily no one was injured in this accident.
