Port Blair, Dec 02: The Chouldari Gram Panchayat on Saturday organized 1st Chouldari – South Andaman Business Summit 2018 at Shaheed Capt. Asheem Bhattacharya Community Hall of Chouldari.
This was perhaps for the first time in the history of Andaman and Nicobar Islands, when any gram panchayat organized mega event like Business Summit but the concept of hugely appreciated by invitees and participants, which according to all will result in socio-economic development of the Village.
Mr. Mohan Halder the Pradhan of the village who organized the event said that the main aim of the event was to invite new business projects in the village to generate employment and upliftment of village economy. He said that the platform was also open for listening to the problems faced by those business owners who have already started business in the area.
During the event all business owners who have contributed to the socio-economic growth of Chouldari village and some media persons, including Editor of Andaman Sheekha and Representative of Echo of India, were honored by prominent invitees.
Dr. J D Singh, Principal TGCE, Mr. Som Naidu, former Director of RD Department, Mr. Vishal Jolly, President BJP and Member, HMAC were special guests, who appreciated the concept lauded the Panchayat for organizing such event.
