Jirkatang, Dec 02: Jirkatang, Dec 02: A giant tree fell on the Andaman Trunk Road and blocked the movement of vehicles on Saturday morning. This disrupted the Convoy timing badly and caused bag full of troubles for passengers of ATR. The tree reportedly fell 8 KM inside Jarawa Reserve Forest from Jirkatang Check Post.
Later the Forest, Police and AAJJV staffs cleared the road at around 1130 AM after which Convoy was allowed to cross. The first STS bus which left Port Blair at 4 AM reached Diglipur at 7 PM at Diglipur. Similarly all other ATR vehicles got delayed because of this.
