Port Blair, July 25: The state president of Bhartiya Janta Party, Mr. R. Mohan has urged the Prime Minister of India to provide justice to the employees of ATI by providing their balance dues.
In a letter addressed to the PM, Minister of Home Affairs, Mrs Sushama Swaraj, MP (LS) and leader of opposition and also to the Lt Governor, Mr Mohan said that the ATI Factory was got closed in the year 2000 without paying the dues to its employees. The payment was supposed to be paid in three installments in which the third installment is not yet paid.
“Because of the non-payment of the full installment, the employees and their family members are passing through very difficult days,” Mohan added.
Therefore, Mohan has requested the PM to look into the matter personally and ensure payment to these poor employees without any further delay and also requested the PM to consider a suitable job for one of the members of these affected families.
