Port Blair, July 25: The General Manager, NABARD, Port Blair handed over a cheque Rs. 46,308/- (Rupees Forty Six Thousand Three Hundred Eight only) on behalf of ANCOFED to Mr. ERAMOO, S/o Jerake, Age 25 years, who belongs to the aboriginal tribal family (Great Andamanese) who produced copra himself and supplied to the ANCOFED, Port Blair under the Price Support Scheme’ 2012.
Appreciating the interest taken in the production of copra by the tribal’s in the islands, the General Manager, NABARD assured that NABARD will provide mini copra dryer free of cost to be used by the tribal families in the Strait Island so that the quality of copra improves.
The Directors, General Manager, ANCOFED who were present during the occasion thanked Mrs. Sandiya Mondal, Incharge, Great Andamanese Settlement, Strait Islands for her efforts in encouraging the tribal growers to produce copra for sale to the Federation under the Price Support Scheme.
