Port Blair, Nov 14: Meet Mr R. Elango, owner of Raymond Finance, a money lending firm at Aberdeen Bazaar, who recently found a purse containing little cash and important documents viz several ID cards, ATR cards, to the owner. The said missing purse did not have any contact details of the owner but anyhow he examined the purse thoroughly and with the help of some other person’s visiting card he located the owner of the purse and handed over the same to the family member of the owner.
Interestingly this is not the first time when Mr. R. Elango, found a purse and returned it to the owner. Few months back he found a purse of some person with Rs. 30,000 cash, which he returned to the owner.
People like Mr. R Elango, are the perfect example of true ‘Andamani’ who are known for their honesty and simplicity. Small incidents like this, prove that honesty is still alive in Andaman and Nicobar Islands.
