Port Blair, Nov 14: The team of police station Pahargaon has busted multiple gambling den and arrested 10 persons alongwith with recovery of Rs. 5360/-, Rs. 13903/- & Rs 11950/- cash respectively
Upon receipt of information regarding gambling at Bathu Basti Ganesh Mandir a Police team comprising SI P. Jeevan, PC/2422 Vijay Ram, PC/1203 M. Abdul Salam & PC/406 S.N Pathak raided a gambling den on 05/11/18 at Bathu Basti and arrested 02 people involved in gambling Rs. 5360/-and deck of playing cards were recovered from the possession of accused persons who were identified as (1) S.Suresh S/0 late Subramaniam (32) yrs, R/0 Bathu Basti & (2) Rajiv Kumar S/o Shri Armugam (30) yrs. R/o Bathu Basti.
Upon receipt of information regarding gambling near Pipe Line Basthi, Bathu Basthi a police team comprising SI P. Jeevan, PC/1106 Khoken Dutta, PC/397 G.Shaji, PC/2422 Vijay Ram & PC/406 S.N Pathak raided a gambling den on 07/11/18 at Bathu Basti and arrested 04 people involved in gambling Rs 13903 and deck of playing cards were recovered from the possession of accused persons who were identified as (1) Rahul Kumar S/o Late Ram Murthy (38) yrs R/o Japan Nallah, Bathu basti, (2) Ritesh Kumar S/o Joy Kumar (32) yrs, R/o Bathu Basti near St. Marry School, (3) Sarvana S/o Late Chinnakannu (30) yrs, R/o Bathu Basti near Range Office & (4) Balasubramaniyam S/o Late K. Pillai (29) yrs, R/o Bathu Basti.
Upon receipt of information regarding gambling at Attam Pahar a police team comprising SI P. Jeevan, PC/1106 Khoken Dutta, PC/397 G.Shaji, PC/2422 Vijay Ram & PC/406 S.N Pathak raided a gambling den on 07/11/2018 at Bathu Basti and arrested 04 people involved in gambling Rs 11950/- and deck of playing cards were recovered from the possession of accused persons who were identified as (1) V. Rahul Kumar S/o Late Vijay Kumar(24) yrs, R/o Attam Pahar (2) Minto Mondal S/o0 Shri Sailen Mondal (40)yrs, R/o Dollygunj, (3) Ram Dayal Ram S/o Shri Baku Ram(32)yrs, R/o Attam Pahar & (4) K.Rajeshwar Rao S/o Late Satyanarayan (31) yrs, R/o Brookshabad.
The South Andaman District Police is committed to eradicate all anti-social activities from the society and the team of police station Pahargaon has once again proved its commitment in this direction.
The entire operations were conducted under the command of Inspector. Sahil Shamssudin, SHO Pahargaon under the direct supervision of Shri Nishant Gupta, DySP (South Andaman).
